R to @BootstrapCook: Before the usual suspects get here, I am not paid by Greggs, I don’t have a business or financial relationship with them, this isn’t an advert, i’m not required to declare anything, I just think this is a decent idea. No it’s not going to solve food poverty nor homelessness, but>

R to @BootstrapCook: >that’s not the job of a sausage roll merchant, it’s the job of the GOVERNMENT. Who we give a lot more than the odd piecemeal voluntary £2 to. And just because we can’t do everything, doesn’t mean we stand by and don’t try to do ~anything~.

(Thanks for coming to my TED talk.)

R to @CanadaG25396537: They do a fairly decent vegan range, if that’s your thing. My thing is making sure everyone has the means to eat in the first place, and when we’ve solved that, by all means let’s move onto the ethics of the menu.

Taking Boxing Day incredibly literally this year. 46 days left on my tenancy. Still nowhere definite to move to. Just got to trust the process with this one and hope it all falls into place 😳

R to @mistymeana: We’ve been living amongst piles of boxes since June now - it’s a real daily lesson in patience, tolerance and acceptance this one! 😳

R to @silvergoatish: Oh that’s rough, I’m so sorry. I hope you find somewhere certain and stable soon and are all holding up okay. X

R to @Sam_Tracey76: NINETEEN boxes of books. And that’s ~after~ painfully, reluctantly, ‘decluttering’ them!! Suspect that they may not all quite fit in a small one bedroom flat but I’m stubbornly going to give it my best shot before giving away another single one 🤣

R to @BootstrapCook: (One of the perks of being an author is that publishing houses regularly send me/SB piles of books. Add that to our obsession with poking around charity shops, and hoovering up anything in the Rare/Antiquarian Books section on eBay that’s ending for under a couple of pounds… 😳)

R to @Mimmle: I remember from the bad days... But this move is supposed to be the beginning of some real home security for SB, who’s had as many front doors as years lived, it pains me that in order to get there we may have to endure one of the most terrifyingly insecure processes in housing…

R to @BootstrapCook: I’m hoping, praying and working hard to try to ensure that that worst case scenario is just a fear rather than a situation. Starting worst-case-scenario negotiations with the letting agency tomorrow. We’ve been here 4 years + been v quiet, compliant, non-troublesome tenants, so🤞

R to @mrpaulk: Then these all belong to you, excellent. Seeing most of it has been boxed up for months I can clearly live without it - come get your stuff Paul 🤣🤣

R to @HelloMissHunter: My fave box so far is the ‘RARE and IRREPLACEABLE crockery, ⚠️ FRAGILE! ⚠️HANDLE WITH CARE ⚠️like a newborn baby, but a ⚠️VERY HEAVY⚠️ one. Actually, just let Jack do this one…’

R to @AntheaRogers: It’s also a decade old. He, er, doesn’t look like this now. He has socks and everything, although getting him to keep them on is another thing entirely…🤪

R to @Mimmle: I’m still within the dates of my fixed term tenancy for now, so nope!

R to @BootstrapCook: (I won the hamper. 2013 Judges Choice Award at the inaugural Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards. Donated most of the contents to the foodbank that kept me + SB fed in the year before. And yes, I detest that I have to add this, but we know exactly what’ll happen if I don’t!🧌🧌)
