R to @hrbooth20: They’re not withdrawing it nor refusing to give it to ‘service users’. We’re adding an amendment to the original text to be on the ultra safe side. The collab/free books are still going ahead as planned, with a minor tweak or two that we’ve all agreed on. HTH.

R to @BootstrapCook: And it’s ironic really, because in previous books I’ve been ~obsessive~ about giving very detailed safety instructions, and I was criticised by ~the same people~ for being patronising, nannying and overbearing, so honest to god, I can’t actually do anything right at this point.🤷‍♀️

R to @Chris_English_1: This pervading bullshit that my family are wealthy is extremely tiresome. Dad was a fireman. Mum was a nurse, had an accident at work & had to leave when I was v young. They fostered when fostering was unpaid. They’re ordinary, decent people and have the right to a private life.

R to @hrbooth20: And you seriously think that - after a consistent and mutually respectful and supportive ten year working relationship - I somehow haven’t been involved in any way in that process or decision? Crikey, Heather.

R to @BootstrapCook: My priority, funnily enough, hasn’t changed in the last decade. To ensure that people with the least available to hand can make the most of it, and if I can help with that, I try to do so. So a reprint/insert on a clumsy bit of my book doesn’t really matter bc its not about me…

R to @BootstrapCook: I don’t shout my entire life on Twitter, but I instantly greenlighted the suggested edits, apologised for my oversight/lack of clarity, apologised for the delay in the delivery of the donated books (a matter of days, in the end), and we all set about making it right. Like adults.

R to @ArielAnderssen: Acknowledged, and apologies. When I typed it I meant more like catching visceral hatred/bitterness/a case of the snarks rather than a genuine STI. I appreciate the gentle call-out and will be more mindful of my phrasing in future. Thankyou for taking the time to point this out. X

R to @Chris_English_1: (Apart from the scarf, which I did find in a muddy puddle, but I lent it to a friend a while back so you don’t have to be mad about that one any more)

R to @hrbooth20: I’m not angry, nor ranting. I’ve been awake since 4 because I’m a bit stressed and quite ill, coughed myself awake and couldn’t get back to sleep so checked in here. Is there a specific Twitter schedule I’m supposed to stick to or something? Can someone let me know the rules?

R to @hrbooth20: You’re right; there’s really no need. It’s absolutely exhausting.

R to @CrowMo99: Back that ludicrous, libellous crap with evidence, or take it down. (FYI, still within the statute of limitations to sue, and have been in constant contact with my lawyer throughout. Just because it’s not on Twitter, doesn’t mean it’s not happening…)

R to @adingdongdang: I don’t set that and had no idea about it. Probably standard for other people, but it’s not what I’ve ever been paid.

RT by @BootstrapCook: I appear to be trending, again, so it would be remiss not to live down to my reputation and use this raging furnace of outrage as an opportunity to mention I wrote a book. Please don’t retweet this nor purchase it, the trolls would get very cross 🧌

R to @rskoka: No. The question was ‘if you HAD earned £1m over your career’ (we had been talking about book sales, public events, writing etc), and I cut Simon off by replying quite bluntly ‘I’d be dead Simon. I’m an addict. I’d have spent it, and I’d be very, very, dead.’

Happy to clarify.

R to @BootstrapCook: So we moved on to what I HAD spent money on in a ten year career, reckless relationships and discomfort of having/not having any, precariousness of freelancing, and yes, getting drunk and doing unwise things. (Been in recovery since March 21, so, no more sfaced sideboards.)

R to @rskoka: You’ll all believe what you want to believe, so what does it matter what any of us say anyway?
