R to @jopayton: We had to go somewhere, and did spend a considerable amount of time looking for coffee shops first. Late at night, in snowy/icy roads, both absolutely freezing. *I* pointed out the pub and *I* suggested it. It’s not something I make a habit of, but on this occasion it was fine.

R to @frugally_minded: I was buying mince pies for 30 recovering alcoholics, and the guidance is that anything like that we bring to meetings has to be 100% guaranteed alcohol free. For everyone’s safety. So it wasn’t about ~me~, it was about ~doing the right thing by everyone~

R to @BootstrapCook: And the ‘requesting supermarkets to hide booze on online apps’ wasn’t about it being triggering, it was about it being irritating because it’s irrelevant to me and time consuming to scroll through. Good grief is there nothing you won’t twist?

R to @_JakeLingz_v9: Chrissie’s a friend. Maybe if you work on your stuff a wee bit you might have one of those for yourself some day Jakey lad

R to @ChrissieClarky: Yeah, no. I barely trust myself with my own let alone anyone else’s 🤣

R to @jopayton: The shoot concept was the photographers idea, signed off by me, my agent, and the photographer; not the interviewing journalist.

As I said last night, the pub was my suggestion.

As I said last night, Simon was very insistent about paying for dinner.

R to @shattenstone: I’m very sorry you’re being hassled like this, Simon. These people seem determined to infantilise me as though I’m not a fully grown adult with my own agency and ability to speak for myself. Having spent around 8 focused hours together, I suspect you know me better than they do!

R to @jopayton: And yet, it WAS safe. My old sponsor & I used to meet in the local Wetherspoons for a burger before the meeting (they’re only not my sponsor now because we live so far apart, we’re still good friends and still go to the pub for a burger occasionally). I can make my own decisions.

R to @courtneyishere: I’m 34, not 14. And Jo seems to be making a rather murky insinuation about mine and Simon’s relationship there with reference to our ages. Is there a rule that I - a grown adult with a teenage child - should only be interviewed by people within a certain age bracket now?

R to @jopayton: What happened after was Simon saw that I got home safely, I went to bed, and life carried on as usual. Nothing happened, nothing changed.

There are some really great recipes that I worked really hard on in the 120-recipe brand new recipe book, by the way. I wonder when people will notice and start talking about ~that~ instead.

R to @momo_airbags: I’m sure it’ll be wonderfully impartial, it’s a shame I won’t be able to read it!

R to @naomicave: They already knew. Funnily enough I have the important conversations with my parents BEFORE having them with Twitter.
