On August 18-19, Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Azerbaijan
Talks to discuss further development of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as current international and regional issues will be on the agenda.
Following the visit, a joint statement by presidents of the two countries will be adopted and a number of agreements, intergovernmental and otherwise, will be signed.

The first of them is the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The President toured Agro 07, a local fruit production enterprise. By the end of 2024, the company is expecting to produce 10,000 tonnes of fruit.
Vladimir Putin also held a working meeting with Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Kazbek Kokov. The head of the region briefed the President on the republic's main achievements and economic performance in the first half of 2024.

The meeting took place ahead of the 20th anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack in Beslan on September 1-3, 2004. Vladimir Putin's statements:
This tragedy will forever remain an open wound in Russia's historical memory.
We know full well that abroad they not only tried to justify this terrible crime but also provided various kinds of assistance to the terrorists.
As for our adversaries and enemies, they are still actively working to destabilise our country. Just as we fought against terrorists in the past, we must fight those responsible for crimes in the Kursk Region, Donbass and Novorossiya. However, just as we achieved our goals in the fight against terrorism, we will also prevail in the battle against neo-Nazism and ensure that the criminals are held accountable.
Over the years, a programme has been established to provide support to Beslan and, more broadly, to all residents of North Ossetia.
