Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the successful outcome of the recent state visit that the President of Russia made to Azerbaijan. They noted that consistent implementation of the agreements reached during the visit would further promote the alliance and partnership between Russia and Azerbaijan.

They continued to discuss various aspects of the current situation in the South Caucasus, including the drafting of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, border delimitation and demarcation, and the unblocking of transport lines between the two states. In this connection, the Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to provide all possible assistance to Baku and Yerevan in working out mutually acceptable solutions.

The presidents agreed to maintain personal contacts.

Pyotr Fradkov briefed the President on the bank's recent operations:

the bank's assets total 7.5 trillion rubles;
the bank handles almost 85 percent of all payments under defence procurement contracts;
the corporate clients' portfolio is over 1 trillion rubles;
Promsvyazbank also provides services to individuals, primarily to military personnel, military retirees and defence industry employees, and dominates the military mortgage market;
460 Promsvyazbank branches operate in Russia's new regions.

On September 3, Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to Mongolia, at the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, to attend celebrations of the 85th anniversary of the joint victory of the Soviet and Mongolian armed forces over the Japanese militarists on the Khalkhin Gol River

During their talks, the two leaders will discuss prospects for further developing Russian-Mongolian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and will exchange views on current international and regional issues.

A number of bilateral documents are planned to be signed.

Vladimir Putin is also expected to hold talks with Speaker of the State Great Khural (parliament) D.Amarbayasgalan and Mongolia’s Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene.

Vladimir Putin's working trip to Tyva

In the region's capital of Kyzyl, the President paid a visit to the new Heroes of the Fatherland Comprehensive School No.20. There, Vladimir Putin held a Talking of What Matters open lesson for the school's pupils.

The school was built under the Modern School federal project, which is an element of the Education national project. Classes are held in both Russian and Tyvan. A total of ten educational facilities with a combined capacity of 7,000 pupils have been put into operation in Tyva under the school construction programme over the last five years (2019–2024).

Vladimir Putin made a visit to the Kyzyl Presidential Cadet School

The President toured the classrooms and talked to cadets.

Opened in 2014, the school provides primary and secondary education. With an enrollment of 300 cadets (including 300 boys and 80 girls) and a faculty of 132, the school holds compulsory military classes and offers a variety of sports activities, as well as additional curricula: in particular, it includes an engineering and technical, a linguistics, and an art and etiquette workshop, as well as a martial arts club.

Presidential cadet schools are specialised boarding schools supervised by the Ministry of Defence, providing military education for school-age youth. The idea of creating such schools in each of Russia's federal districts first emerged in 2009. The purpose of the schools is to foster well-educated and patriotic young people who would go on to serve their country as military personnel or civil servants.

On September 4–5, Vladimir Putin will participate in the 9th Eastern Economic Forum

This year’s forum is themed Far East 2030. Combining Strengths to Create New Potential.

On September 4, the President will hold talks with Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Han Zheng, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin.

Vladimir Putin will view an interactive presentation showcasing the progress in the development of the Far East, which will include a videoconference with residents of priority development areas who are prepared to launch their production. Additionally, he will hold a meeting on developing infrastructure in the Far Eastern Federal District.

On the same day, the President will hold a working meeting with Primorye Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako.

On September 5, the highlight of the Eastern Economic Forum will be a plenary session featuring Vladimir Putin, Anwar Ibrahim, and Han Zheng.
